Unboxing a Women’s Denim Jackets Bundle (50 Units)

13 May 2025

Vintage women's denim jackets

This post documents the initial purchase and unboxing of a women’s denim jackets bundle bought as part of my vintage clothing resale business.

The aim here is to record what was purchased, what arrived, and what I was paying attention to at the start — not to draw conclusions about results or profitability yet.

The Purchase

For this batch, I bought 50 women’s denim jackets.

The order was placed on 26 February 2025 as a pre-order, with delivery expected between 1–15 May. This purchase was made alongside several other bundles as part of a broader sourcing run across multiple vintage clothing categories.

The initial cost for this bundle was £50 delivered, giving a unit cost of £1 per item.

A second bundle of 50 women’s denim jackets was ordered on 1 March 2025, also for £50 delivered, bringing the total to 100 jackets at a combined unit cost of £1 per item.

Unboxing & First Impressions

The first delivery arrived on 13 May 2025, and the video above shows the unboxing in full.

At this stage, I was mainly focused on:

  • overall condition across the bundle
  • variation in washes and styles
  • sizing range
  • how much preparation would be required before listing

A second delivery arrived on 30 May 2025, and a follow-up unboxing video was recorded to document consistency across both batches.

What I Was Watching

Before buying, I looked at sold listings on eBay and saw women’s denim jackets selling across a range of prices, typically between £15 and £40, depending on style, fit, and condition.

I was also aware that supply could fluctuate depending on how many similar bundles entered the market at the same time. That made pricing and sell-through something to observe rather than assume.

The initial approach was to:

  • list jackets individually
  • price based on condition and comparable listings at the time
  • remain flexible rather than lock into fixed pricing early

Any decisions beyond that would depend on what happened after listing.

Next Steps

At the time of writing, the jackets were being prepared and listed on both eBay and Vinted.

Any meaningful updates — including sales performance, pricing adjustments, or decisions about whether women’s denim jackets are worth repeating as a category — will be documented in separate posts rather than added here.

Closing

This post records the starting point for this women’s denim jackets batch.

What happens next will determine whether this category and sourcing approach make sense to continue.

This post documents the initial purchase and unboxing of this batch. Updates are published separately as they happen.
