Reselling decisions, documented as they happen
About Steve Flips
I run multiple resale businesses and document the decisions that shape how they evolve — what worked, what didn’t, and why.
This site exists to capture that thinking in one place. It’s a record of how I actually run and adjust real resale operations over time, including structural changes, mistakes, experiments, and lessons learned.
There are no guarantees here, no shortcuts, and no quick tips lists — just honest reflections on the choices and changes I make as I operate.
My Background And Experience
I’ve been selling on eBay since 2005.
Over the years, I’ve worked with a range of categories — from prints and posters to postcards and vintage clothing — always looking for better ways to structure, price, source, and move inventory.
Rather than teaching theory, I focus on documenting real decisions in real time.
Why This Site Exists
Most content about reselling focuses on what to do.
Steve Flips focuses on why decisions are made — and what happens after.
That produces
- videos explaining structural decisions
- blog posts adding context where useful
- occasional reports on how different assets are performing
Where I Publish
Most decision commentary appears first on YouTube, then in written form here when helpful.
You’ll find videos alongside additional context in the Decisions section, or you can watch directly on the YouTube channel linked at the bottom of the site.
How This Site Works
Steve Flips isn’t organised around tips, tutorials, or a publishing schedule. It’s a record of decisions made while running resale businesses — what I chose to do, what happened next, and what changed as a result.
If you want some context on how the site fits together, the posts below explain the thinking behind it. They’re not required reading, but they do help make sense of the structure and approach.
- What Steve Flips Is Actually For
- Why I Document Decisions Instead of Giving Advice
- Where the Income Comes From (and Where It Doesn’t)
- Why I Start With Unboxings and Not Results
- Why Structure Matters More Than Scale
- Why I Don’t Publish on a Schedule
Each of these posts looks at a different part of how this project works and why it’s set up the way it is.
